Brussels has it all! It is the continent's most cosmopolitan and super-diverse city. Our capital has more than a hundred museums and as many concert halls, theatres, cultural centres and art galleries. You will be bowled over by the majestic Art Deco and Art Nouveau-style buildings. There are several icons such as Manneke Pis, the Grand Place or the Atomium. Going out in Brussels is not to be missed, the offer is huge and extremely diverse.
You can soak up the cosy, typically Brussels atmosphere of the Marolles or the flea market on Place du Jeu de Balle. More in the mood for a day of shopping? Brussels meets all your expectations there too. So there are plenty of reasons to put a visit to Brussels on your bucket list.

On top of that, Brussels is also one of the greenest cities in Europe. As such, half of the city's surface area consists of parks, woods and other green spaces. So you can escape from the bustling city life to relax in one of the many green oases. Be sure to add a walk through the Sonian Forest, the botanical gardens or the Cinquantenaire Park to your schedule.
Or opt for Leopold Park, near Place Jourdan, this piece of nature in the heart of Brussels. This used to be a zoo, then became a science park and today it is an English garden with sculptures and a tree of peace. Many Belgian and European institutions are located in and around the park.

You can find the magnificent Solvay Library. But also the former Institute of Anatomy, the Institute of Physiology and the former Business School are downright impressive buildings. Take the opportunity to step inside the hemicycle of the European Parliament. Be sure to also visit the Parlamentarium, the House of European History, the Museum of Natural Sciences and the Wiertz Museum. Also, don't forget to pay attention to the many impressive, captivating and engaging street art you will come across on your walk.
